Beaded dog collars & leads

Kenyan beaded dog collars are hand made to traditional designs. They are made of soft veg tanned cowhide leather and hand sewn by Zinj Design a small workshop based near Kilifi on the Kenyan coast.  The ring, buckle and rivets are solid re-cycled brass, the beads are made of Czech glass and each collar comes with a beaded doggy charm. The collar is stitched the whole way through with Japanese nylon fishing thread ensuring that it will never come apart. 

The workshop is in rural Kenya (there can be days without electricity) so the leather colour can vary between dark brown and black depending on availability. There can be a slight difference in design, each collar takes hours of work by the most experienced beader's in Kenya.
